Back in 2018, I had the opportunity to draw live caricatures at a wedding reception in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
The bride, groom and their guests made me feel like more than just the hired artist. While I worked throughout the evening, drawing guests and capturing their personalities, they invited me to dance, laugh and enjoy the reception alongside everyone else.
That is what makes live wedding caricatures so memorable. Guests receive a personalized keepsake to take home, while the drawing experience becomes part of the entertainment. People gather around, share a few laughs and watch each caricature come to life.
This wedding remains one of my favourite event memories. It was a great evening filled with art, laughter and a couple who made me feel genuinely welcome.
